What’s the job?

As a Project Manager at Torrens, you’ll play a key role in driving strategic transformation initiatives, ensuring that only the most impactful projects move forward.

Reporting to the Head of Portfolio and Project, you’ll collaborate with the team to refine processes, enhance initiative documentation, and ensure stakeholders have the right information to make informed decisions. You'll assess key factors like deployment timelines and business requirements to seamlessly integrate new services and products while identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery.

Key Accountabilities:

Include but are not limited to:

  • Build, develop and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project

  • Assist in the development of solution options and a supported recommendation in line with the Business Case objectives

  • Conduct workshops to identify and record business requirements

  • Plan, develop, manage and report on project budgets, including Business Plan and Capital Investment Plans (CIPs)

  • Prepare project documentation including project plans, business cases, communication plans and status reports

  • Prepare and deliver presentations to the executive team and stakeholders

  • Confirm scope, goals and deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders

Who you are:

  • 5 years’ experience in project management ideal

  • Tertiary level qualifications in Business, Science, Engineering or Economics ideal

  • Proven skills in working within established project management/governance processes

  • Experience with managing project within a major educational institution

  • Demonstrated history of contributing alongside business stakeholders & executives to ensure robust project planning, progress reporting, and process governance on mission critical projects.

  • Experience in supporting and driving change management strategy

  • Strong understanding of scope management and task prioritisation

  • Proven skills in confident client communication, influencing and clear accurate documentation

  • Track-record in gaining the confidence of business stakeholders, building productive working relationships with key clients and a technical team

  • Proven experience in identifying issues and proposing solutions in a dynamic and unstructured environment

  • Highly detail oriented; motivated self-starter; organised; with excellent communication skills

  • High energy levels to ensure delivery or turnaround success
