Project Manager

At Veikkaus, we create gaming entertainment and experiences responsibly. Digital channels are the engine of Veikkaus's competitiveness and growth. We provide digital services across multiple channels in the lottery monopoly market, and in sports betting and online casino we aim to be the leader in digital customer experience and service in international markets. Our Gaming and Enterprise Technology unit builds digital gaming platforms for Finland and our international clients.

For this dynamic digital services environment, we are looking for an experienced Project Manager whose passion is driving things to completion and helping our teams and the entire organization to succeed.

Your role — lead projects and make an impact across the organization

• You are a responsible project manager who delivers complex initiatives on time and within budget, following agile methodologies.
• You plan and manage project scope, schedules, resources and risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• You handle all required administrative tasks efficiently and on schedule.
• You coordinate stakeholder expectations and ensure project goals are aligned with business priorities.
• You lead cross-functional teams with clear communication and create the conditions for success by removing obstacles.
• You collaborate closely with other project managers and business units by sharing best practices.
• You monitor project progress in a data- and metrics-driven way and report regularly to management.
• You find solutions in challenging situations: you are pragmatic and results-focused, anticipate risks and act swiftly to manage them.

What we expect

We are looking for an experienced project management professional with a firm grasp of the big picture and the ability to inspire people towards shared goals.

• You have at least 3 years of work experience leading development projects for digital distribution channels, including web and desktop channels as well as native mobile application projects.
• You have at least two years of work experience working on software development projects using agile methodologies, and a track record of flexible project steering.
• You have experience working at the interface between business and technical delivery teams, as well as in requirements definition and testing.
• You have strong professional confidence, yet you are humble and curious — you know how to lead without direct authority.
• You can collaborate even in challenging situations — you lead with courage and respect others' views, remain calm under pressure and steer negotiations towards solutions.
• Data- and metrics-driven: you are proficient in project management tools (e.g. Jira) and leverage data in decision-making, risk management and improving transparency.
• Continuous learning: you stay up to date with developments in your field and apply new learnings in practice.
• Certifications in project and change management methodologies (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, Scrum) are considered an advantage.
• Fluent English is required — Finnish is considered an advantage but is not a requirement.

The position is located at Veikkaus’ headquarters in Pohjois-Haaga, Helsinki. We work flexibly in a hybrid model. To foster collaboration and effective teamwork, we meet at the office three times a week. The position is permanent and full-time.
