Role: Technical Project Manager (L40)
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Project Manager to join our team. The role is critical to the development of a cutting-edge product feed optimization platform The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business stakeholders and the technical team, ensuring the delivery of robust, scalable, and actionable reporting solution.
Core competencies
Technical Expertise:
- Minimum 10 years with hands on experience working on technology projects preferably in cloud and data engineering
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in managing sizable (15+ members) technology team and handling client expectation
- Strong understanding of complex technical concepts, latest software tools and technologies, strong database concepts and designing techniques.
Management skills:
- Effectively lead teams and inspire others to achieve goals through innovation, quality and excellence
- Understand project requirements, coordinate with resources and direct the projects in the right direction in a timely manner
- Lead, monitor, and motivate different teams across the company and interact with staff at all levels in the organization
- Encourage team interaction, boost employee motivation and appreciate team contribution
Roles and responsibilities
Project management / Process mgmt.
Establish standard operating procedures and project guidelines across projects & initiatives to ensure seamless project execution
Work with team / project leads on project planning and timelines estimation activities
Oversee new project initiation including effective requirement gathering, resource planning, finalizing ETA commitments
Closely oversee critical client deliverables to ensure client experience including quality and timelines requirement are met. Ensure continuous review of deliverables and improvement / optimization of processes.
Drive governance thru adequate communication cadence within teams and with internal senior stakeholders
Participate in daily / weekly sync up meeting and provide inputs as required
Keep documented track of all active projects and status updates along with other important details
Conduct process audit and ensure compliance to set standards
Identify potential risks towards client experience and proactively create & implement mitigation plan
Conduct internal audit & ensure compliance to regulations such as ISMS / data security
People mgmt.
Conduct continuous capacity planning & ensure team structure inline with client SLAs
Defining clear roles & responsibilities and set expectation of performance benchmark for all team members
Ensure continuous competency development practices including career graphs, identifying skillset gaps, design & facilitate training programs.
Assist in staffing and hiring initiatives including scheduling & preparing candidates for client interviews
Manage on-boarding & project orientation / KT for new members
Periodic people connect to gauge motivation level, understand aspiration and identify early attrition warnings
Ensure on-going knowledge sharing and collaboration across teams
Drive continuous employee engagement thru periodic performance review, continuous feedback, R&R nominations
Effective management of leaves / holidays to ensure adequate resource coverage for client.
Ensure compliance to internal systems such as collage
Client mgmt.
Make presentations on project status, present monthly and annual reports to senior management
Participate in client meetings esp. for new projects and get involved requirements gathering and estimation discussion
