The position / About the Job:

Manage medium to large projects, with small to medium complexity or business impact, in accordance with Alfa Laval’s project methodology to reach desired outcome.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out the activity of Project Manager on orders for the replacement of parts or complete exchangers, including Shell and Tube or Air Coolers, and occasionally collaborate with other colleagues in the service department for interventions.
  • Prepare the Order Opening document upon receipt of the order, containing main information to be discussed during the order opening meeting with relevant department managers.
  • Monitor activities carried out by various departments and interface directly with suppliers to ensure final delivery.
  • Monitor Purchase Requests and related Orders to ensure they respect the budget and that deliveries align with the manufacturing plan.
  • Prepare Progress Reports on the order's status with illustrations, graphs, and other relevant information for the customer.
  • Manage documents, including uploading them to Meridian “Data Warehouse “, issuing and revising based on customer comments.
  • Follow up on the progress of projects documents preparation and ensure meeting the agreed deadline.
  • Close coordination with the customer to review, finalize and sign the project’s documents.
  • Instruct the Administration department to issue invoices to the customers based on project development stage and follow up with the customer on the payments.
  • Provide priorities for activities to be carried out by colleagues in the departments related to the execution of the projects.
  • Analyze received offers from suppliers for projects and recommend the procurement department for suitable suppliers.
  • To select the team members of the assigned projects.
  • Responsible for closing the technical and commercial parts of the assigned projects and inform the finance department accordingly.

Background, skills, and experience:

  • Mechanical background.
  • 8-12 Years of experience in relevant field.
  • Advocacy for a strong safety culture.
  • Project Management: Ability to effectively manage projects related to the replacement of parts or complete exchangers, including Shell and Tube or Air Coolers. Experience in coordinating with various departments and colleagues for project execution.
  • Monitoring and Coordination: Ability to monitor activities carried out by various departments and interface directly with suppliers to ensure final delivery.
  • Purchase Request Management: Experience in monitoring Purchase Requests and related Orders to ensure they respect the budget and that deliveries align with the manufacturing plan.
  • Progress Reporting: Skilled in reviewing Progress Reports on the order's status with illustrations, graphs, and other relevant information for the customer.
  • Prioritization: Ability to provide priorities for activities to be carried out by project team members.
  • Cost Management: Ability to review received offers and recommend the best offer.
  • Experienced in customer relationships management and service industry.
  • Products expertise.
  • Knowledge in construction code and in industries specifications and requirements.
  • IT skills (Microsoft office packs, and internal software).
  • Good English communication skill, both written and oral.
