In this position, you will be responsible for the effective delivery of service projects—covering both commercial and technical aspects—while ensuring that all operations comply with company protocols, contractual obligations, safety regulations, as well as financial and scheduling objectives.

Your Responsibilities

  • Drive Project Excellence - Lead service project execution in alignment with Hitachi Energy policies and best practices. Ensure strong oversight, effective resource use, and consistent project progress.
  • Manage Project Performance - Oversee all technical and commercial aspects of service projects, including invoicing, cost management, expenses, and cash flow. Proactively identify risks and opportunities, and ensure lessons learned are documented and shared.
  • Close Projects with Confidence - Ensure each project is formally and contractually closed out, and that completion is acknowledged and accepted by the customer.
  • Ensure Strong Contract & Claims Management - Apply contract and claims management principles throughout the project lifecycle in line with company policies and commitments.
  • Coordinate with Suppliers - Work closely with internal and external suppliers to secure required materials, services, and equipment.
  • Be the Customer’s Go‑To Point of Contact - Act as the primary interface for customers and manage any project‑related escalations with professionalism and care.
  • Build Strong Stakeholder Relationships - Develop trusted relationships with internal teams and external partners, maintaining clear communication at every stage.
  • Champion Safety & Environment Standards - Ensure all project activities comply with Hitachi Energy’s HSE policies.
  • Review Technical Documentation - Evaluate equipment drawings, project schedules, HSE documentation, transmittals, reports, and all related technical materials.
  • Collaborate Across Teams - Partner with execution teams and manufacturing facilities to support project delivery.
  • Travel Requirements - Local and occasional overseas travel will be required.

Your experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing service projects
  • Experience with transformer service projects (highly regarded)
  • Working knowledge of SAP (order booking, invoicing, etc.)
  • Strong communication skills, ownership mindset, and demonstrated leadership capability
  • Proficiency in English communication.
