Join Mizuho as a Project Manager!

In this role you will be responsible for leading and managing the assigned workstreams of large programs, following the Transformation and Delivery Office (TDO) guidelines within determined timelines.
Target programs can be US focused programs or Head office (HO) related programs, working as a liaison with HO counterparts.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive execution of key workstream initiatives through the full project life cycle from strategic project planning to delivery including development of target state business processes, build and adoption of technology solutions
  • Work across multiple functions and legal entities to structure and manage end-to-end workstream efforts through deep understanding of requirements, technologies, cross-functional impact, and business strategy
  • Ensure target end state is delivered inclusive of required governance, business process redesign and appropriate controls
  • Manage weekly status reporting, understand and maintain workstream’s RAID log, run working groups to support successful program delivery
  • Coordinate all activities and dependencies for user testing to ensure successful acceptance by the business owners including defect management and reporting in JIRA
  • Provide appropriate information sharing and updates with key stakeholders
  • Oversight of workstream level resources including those provided by 3rd party providers

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Consistent experience contributing to and supporting cross-functional initiatives at financial institutions, including exposure to initiative structuring, project planning, budgeting, and resource tracking under senior guidance
  • Good understanding of compliance, finance, risk, operations, and data processes with familiarity with the technologies that support them
  • Familiarity with corporate banking and markets financial products with a willingness to deepen product knowledge on the job
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with the ability to escalate and frame key decisions clearly for stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder relationships across multiple functions, supporting cross functional working groups
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Practical knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, MS Project, JIRA)
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, matrixed environment with a collaborative and adaptable mindset
  • Quick learning of program objective and bank TDO guideline

The expected base salary ranges from $81k-$140k. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
