Valmet Gorizia is the global owner for the production of hoods and air systems for the drying phase of tissue paper production. It is also the global owner for energy optimization, energy-saving and sustainability solutions within the drying process, as well as for mill environment control systems (hall ventilation, mist and dust control/management systems).
As a Project Manager you will coordinate engineering, manufacturing, erection, and start-up activities while keeping timelines, safety, and quality at the center. You will engage directly with customers, lead negotiations, and ensure seamless information flow. This role allows you to influence project success and collaborate closely across teams to drive continuous improvement.
You lead assigned projects from planning through delivery, ensuring expectations and targets are met
You coordinate engineering, manufacturing, erection, start-up, and purchasing activities with key teams
You oversee project cost estimates, monitor progress, and provide regular updates to management
You act as the main interface with customers, managing negotiations, documentation, and payment processes
You collaborate with teams to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and guarantee requirements
Technical diploma or degree
Minimum 3 years of experience in an operational or technical role that enabled you to build strong product knowledge and work directly with customers or field activities (e.g., Production, Engineering, Site Management)
Experience with paper machinery, papermaking processes, and ideally the tissue market will be an asset
Fluent in Italian and English
Good command of MS Office and ERP systems
You hold a valid driving license and are available to travel up to approximately 80 days per year
You bring strong project management capabilities, a structured way of working, and confidence in interfacing with customers. Your ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and maintain focus on cost, timelines, and safety is essential. You excel in communication, negotiation, and problem-solving, ensuring smooth project execution.

You will join the Tissue Project Management team, working closely with engineering, procurement, sales, and field teams to ensure successful project delivery. This team plays a central role in securing customer satisfaction through high-quality execution and collaboration across departments.
