ASRC Federal is seeking a Project Manager who will be responsible for assisting the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) J65 with Exercise Plans (Communication) scheduling, structure and providing programmatic support.
Responsibilities:
• Represent the J6 Directorate in planning meetings, working groups, conferences, Operational Planning Teams (OPTs), technical exchange meetings, and rapid response teams.
• Support exercise design, including creation of Master Scenario Events List (MSEL) injects and validation of training objectives.
• Gather, analyze, and validate information exchange requirements across SOCOM, TSOC, and Component staffs to develop and coordinate comprehensive communications plans.
• Ensure proper J6 support through all phases of the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC).
• Support Joint Staff and HQ USSOCOM level communications planning for exercises, contingencies, OPLANS, and CONPLANs in accordance with the Strategic/Joint Planning Guidance (S/JPG). Represent J6 divisions, service components, and subordinate command interests.
• Conduct coordination and liaison activities with communications planners and mission partners from service components, Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and partner forces.
• Monitor classified and unclassified Task Management Tool (TMT) message traffic as an action officer, ensuring timely and appropriate responses.
• Provide analysis for current and future requirements supporting budgeting, product development, and contracting processes for Program Objective Memorandum (POM), SOF Capabilities Integration and Development System (SOFCIDS), and Strategic Capabilities Analysis Review (SCAR).
• Serve as the J6 representative for all planning conferences involving SOCOM headquarters equities.
• Advise on network architecture design at headquarters, TSOC, and component levels.
• Coordinate with SOCOM headquarters J6 Divisions and TSOC/Component leads on all COMSEC, SATCOM, and spectrum frequency requests.
• Provide insight and recommendations on risk identification and mitigation to the J62 Cybersecurity division.
• Recommend new technologies and employment strategies for current and future exercises.
• Identify capability and funding gaps during the planning and execution of exercises.
• Coordinate with SOCOM J65 enterprise and tactical portfolio managers to support fielding and capability initiatives throughout the SOCOM area of responsibility.
• Reviews and assesses the impact of DoD, Military Service, Joint, DISA, or IC proposed architecture or architecture guidance on the SIE.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 5 to 7 years of Project and Technical support experience or equivalent.
◦ Experience supporting high level DoD customers and excellent communication skills.
◦ Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Must have an active TS/SCI Clearance.
• Ability to work independently or in a team framework.
• Ability to research and gather information; verify and analyze data.
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with internal and external organizations.
