Role

The Project Manager reports to the Director and is responsible for leading projects through the complete project lifecycle, from initiation through delivery and closeout. This role demands a proactive, ownership-driven professional who can coordinate cross-functional teams, manage vendor relationships, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. The successful candidate will serve as the primary interface between clients, stakeholders, and internal teams, driving operational excellence across diverse project portfolios while maintaining strong contract and risk management protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• • Understand and manage the entire project lifecycle from initiation through closeout
• • Support the Director on assigned projects with proactive, solution-oriented approach
• • Take ownership of issues and drive them through to positive resolution
• • Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors for flawless project execution
• • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
• • Assist in defining project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
• • Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress
• • Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques
• • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
• • Report progress and escalate issues to Director as needed
• • Support management of client relationships and stakeholder engagement
• • Perform risk management activities to minimize project risks
• • Establish and maintain relationships with third-party vendors
• • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
• • Meet with clients to capture detailed requirements and clarify project specifications
• • Manage contracts and ensure compliance (where applicable)

Required Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Project Management, Construction Management, or related field
• Professional registration with SACPCMP or PMI (Project Management Institute)
• Minimum 6-8 years of experience in a similar project management role
• Demonstrated experience managing complete project lifecycles
• Proven track record delivering projects successfully
• Complete proficiency in Microsoft Office Project
• Strong knowledge of project management principles, best practices, methods, and tools
• Effective operational proficiency in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Contract management experience
• Hospitality sector experience
• Fit-out and base build experience
• Experience managing complex construction site projects
