CEDA is looking to hire Project Manager for our Fort McMurray, AB location. CEDA will be working with one of their clients to reassemble their entire dredge, as well as assemble a marina and an electrical barge on site.

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing all aspects of an assigned Dredging Project. This includes managing scope, schedule, cost, and quality to ensure safe and efficient project delivery that meets client expectations. The Project Manager works closely with Operations, Maintenance, and HSE teams to ensure compliance with technical and contractual requirements while fostering strong customer relationships.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that projects are set up, managed, and executed in accordance with company and client policies, procedures, and standards
  • Provide leadership and expertise in overall project cost control, scheduling, progress measurement, and change management
  • Monitor progress against project schedules and budgets, recommending resource allocation as required to achieve project goals
  • Review and provide recommendations on contracts, cost estimates, and project documentation to ensure completeness and quality
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships by presenting and explaining project proposals, reports, and findings clearly and professionally
  • Ensure effective communication among project stakeholders, including field operations, maintenance, HSE, and logistics teams
  • Support the assessment, planning, and implementation of training and staff development to improve project delivery and team performance
  • Lead by example in promoting safety, quality, and accountability across all project activities
  • Other duties as assigned

Role Specifications

  • Post-secondary education in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field (equivalent experience considered)
  • 5–10 years of progressive experience managing industrial, environmental, or tailings-related projects
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, including cost control, scheduling, and risk management
  • Experience with mechanical systems, pumps, dredging, or fluid management operations is an asset
  • PMP certification or equivalent training in project management is an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software (e.g., MS Project)
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
