What will you be doing?

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering assigned projects in alignment with corporate standards and PMO methodologies. The role ensures that project objectives are achieved within agreed scope, timelines, budgets, and quality thresholds.

Working closely with sponsors, cross‑functional teams, and PMO leadership, the Project Manager coordinates daily delivery activities, manages risks and issues, and ensures consistent reporting and documentation. This position operates under the direction of the Head of Corporate PMO and contributes to the organisation’s overall strategic execution capability.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning and Initiation

  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and success criteria.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, work breakdown structures, roles, and responsibilities.
  • Prepare project charters and ensure alignment with PMO templates and approval processes.

Project Execution and Coordination

  • Lead and coordinate project team activities, ensuring progress against the approved plan.
  • Manage day‑to‑day project operations, deliverable quality, and stakeholder communications.
  • Ensure all project activity follows PMO methodology, standards, and documentation requirements.

Monitoring, Reporting, and Governance Compliance

  • Track project progress, including tasks, milestones, risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Prepare regular project status reports for the Programme Manager or Head of PMO.
  • Support PMO governance requirements, including stage gates, approvals, and documentation audits.

Risk, Issue, and Change Management

  • Identify risks, issues, and variances early, updating mitigation and response plans accordingly.
  • Escalate critical risks or delays to PMO leadership in a timely manner.
  • Manage approved scope changes in line with PMO procedures.
  • Ensure impacts to budget, timeline, and quality are documented and clearly communicated.

Stakeholder Management and Communication

  • Maintain proactive communication with sponsors, contributors, and impacted teams.
  • Ensure stakeholder expectations are managed and information remains transparent and up to date.
  • Prepare stakeholder communication materials, including plans, summaries, and presentations.
  • Facilitate collaboration across business units and technical teams.

Project Closure and Lessons Learned

  • Ensure appropriate handover of deliverables to operational teams.
  • Complete project closure documentation and contribute to PMO lessons‑learned activities.
  • Confirm achievement of project objectives and identify any remaining follow‑up actions.

Qualifications

Skills & Competencies Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, IT, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in project management or PMO roles.
  • Proven experience managing and delivering cross‑functional projects within an organisational environment.
  • Strong planning, coordination, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies and governance frameworks.
  • Proficiency in project management and reporting tools (e.g. MS Project, Excel, PPM systems, Power BI).
