As a Project Manager at Hitachi Rail STS S.p.A., you will be responsible for leading and executing complex railway signaling and transportation project from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Job Responsibilities
* Lead and manage all phases of assigned railway signaling and transportation projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure.
* Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
* Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed schedules, resource allocation, risk management strategies, and communication plans.
* Manage project budgets, tracking expenditures, and ensuring financial targets are met.
* Oversee and coordinate project teams, including engineers, technical specialists, and subcontractors, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
* Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, developing effective contingency plans.
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
* Prepare and present regular project status reports, highlighting progress, challenges, and proposed solutions.
* Manage contract agreements, variations, and claims effectively.
* Facilitate project closure activities, including lessons learned sessions and final documentation.
Job Qualifications*
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, Civil, or Mechanical) or a related technical field. A Master's degree or PMP certification is highly desirable.
* Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive experience in project management within the railway signaling, transportation, or a similar complex infrastructure industry.
* Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale, complex projects on time and within budget.
* Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
* Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Italian is a plus.
* Willingness to travel as required for project needs.
