  • Fixed term opportunity until 31 January 2027, for a Project Manager to join the University’s Veterinary Teaching Hospitals teams

  • Deliver a new Technology project across the teaching hospitals network and contribute to their long-term success

  • Base Salary (HEO8) $126,065 - $142,171 + 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to join our operations project team. In this role, you will be leading the delivery of a major technology change project across the teaching hospital network – Sydney and Camden.

Working closely with senior stakeholders across the Hospitals, vendor team and University’s ICT Team, you will ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.

As a subject matter expert, you will provide sound advice, resolve complex issues, and lead SMEs with clarity and purpose. Your leadership will be instrumental in embedding robust project governance, managing financials, and cultivating productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • manage overall project organisation, including defining roles, responsibilities, and performance indicators for project collaborators

  • in collaboration with Advisors and Senior Advisors, develop and communicate project charters and plans, ensuring clarity of objectives and deliverables

  • effectively manage project interdependencies and drive collaboration across multiple work streams and a diverse range of stakeholders

  • monitor project activities and deliverables, making necessary adjustments to meet timeframes and budgets

  • develop and embed governance and reporting frameworks, identify risks, and ensure data integrity.

About you

  • significant and varied project management delivery experience with the successful delivery of numerous concurrent programs and projects spanning multiple, complex work streams

  • strong financial management skills, including budget oversight

  • proven ability to manage diverse stakeholders and cultivate productive relationships

  • excellent organisational, planning, and time management skills

  • outstanding presentation, communication and influencing skills to deliver messaging on a variety of channels to varied audiences

  • an agile and flexible approach that is able to pivot and contribute to overall team success.
