Job Description

The opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Energy & Utilities team, supporting the delivery of complex maintenance and construction projects across the Waikato region.

Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, you will provide strong leadership to project teams and subcontractors, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to client expectations. This role plays a key part in promoting a safe work culture, building high‑performing teams, and strengthening long‑term client relationships.

What we’re looking for

You will bring proven project leadership experience within a contracting or infrastructure environment, along with a collaborative and solutions‑focused mindset.

Key skills and experience include:

  • Demonstrated experience managing civil or infrastructure projects end‑to‑end
  • Strong planning, budgeting, cost control and programme management capability
  • Experience developing project methodologies, procurement strategies and delivery plans
  • Proven ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate multiple work packages
  • Sound knowledge of contractual obligations, claims and variations management
  • Proven people leadership experience, including coaching, performance management and team development
  • Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (desirable)
