Facilitates and ensures successfulcommercialization ofnew productswithin assigned business categories. Coordinates with global Marketing, global Sales, and Operations functions, as well as key suppliers to ensuretimelycompletion ofall tasksrequiredto support newproduct launchesEstablishes and monitors achievement of critical milestones, and takes correctiveactions,if necessary,in order tomeet launch datesKey emphasis onsupporting Product Development Core Team deliverables, to include effectivecommunicationwith global stakeholdersregardingnew product status, features, and samples
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Commercialization and product development projects
Key point of contact with Sales, Marketing, Creative Services, and other departments within R&D on all aspects of new product development and commercialization.
Assist Program Managers/Directors indevelopmentand improvement ofproduct commercialization processes.
As needed, leads cross-functional teammeetings,andmaintainsall documentation, in Program Central or other, as necessary, in support of new product developmentKey projects may includetimelycollection, maintenance, delivery,and communication of global sample requirements,coordinating definition of and delivery of Special Make-Up products (SMU’s), and trackingcompletion oftimelypart number creation.
Asappropriate toproduct line responsibilities, will manage aftermarket grip and shaft introduction, qualification, and end-of-life tasks.
Manage ongoing updates to the club,ball,soft goods, anddevicesproduct line files.
Additional Product Development tasks as assigned.
Communication
Creates open and clear communication channels between internal and external customers andfacilitatesinteraction through cross-functional teams.
Acts asliaisonbetween all internal departments to resolve issues relating to the commercialization of assigned programs
Project Management
Develops andestablishesproject plans for assigned programs in cooperation with all stakeholders involved.
Monitors status of key deliverablesInvolvesappropriate managementwhen necessary to ensure necessary resources are available to achieve target dates.
Works with stakeholders to resolve unexpected events as necessary, while ensuring successful deliverable dates occur as scheduledMay prepare revised timelines for review and approval through Program Manager/Director, and entire stakeholder group.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
Highly organized, and able to work under time pressure across global time zones.
Able to think and act independently and use creative problem-solving skills with minimal supervision.
Ability to prioritize tasks andbreak downlargerobjectivesinto a work plan.
Strong senseof accountability and ownership, excellent attention to detail and good record keeping critical.
Strong oral and written communication skills,abilitytointerface withall levels of the organization to achieve assignedobjectivesin a cross-functional team-based environment.
Proficiencywith MS Office software applications and all relevant internal company systems (SAP,TeamCenter, etc.)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
BA/BS strongly preferredEquivalent relevant experience may substitute.
Minimum 3 years of relevant project team-based work experience.
Formal project management education and experiencestronglypreferred.
Product commercialization experience in consumer products industries and golf knowledge preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT (if applicable)
Work is performed in a designated professional office workstation and environment.
Extensive use of office equipment to includecomputer,calculator,copier,fax, and otherbusiness-relatedmachines and software.
Regularly required to lift and/or carry up tofivepounds and occasionally lift and/or carry up totwenty-fivepounds.
Will be asked to occasionally travel via airplane and car, with potential forinternationaltravel.
