About the Role

Montecito Bank & Trust is seeking a full-time Project Manager to join the team in our Marketing department As a Project Manager, you will deliver a World Class Experience as project lead on multiple cross-departmental projects to ensure the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure of all assigned projects. Armed with conviction, collaboration, attention to detail, and a can-do attitude, this individual thrives in a dynamic and concurrent multi-project environment. The Bank’s scope of projects covers a large variety of efforts, ranging from department driven projects and product launches to more technically complex technology infrastructure and digital platform deployments. Both Agile and Waterfall methodologies are employed, depending on the project type and team members. In addition to day-to-day project management, this individual is responsible for partnering to maintain and update the Bank’s PMO processes and policies and provide PMO mentorship to department project leads. You will be located in Santa Barbara, CA with the opportunity for a hybrid work schedule.

What We’re Looking For

  • A college degree required; emphasis in technology or banking preferred.
  • 3-5 years of project management experience required; experience in a banking environment preferred.
  • PMI Certification preferred.
  • Familiarity with the review of and a demonstrated ability to translate legal agreements/vendor contracts into actionable scopes of work, including establishing project goals, timelines, and measurement plans.
  • Working knowledge of core processing applications, digital banking systems, customer relationship management solutions and other banking related applications.
  • Detail-oriented and proven ability to effectively multi-task and problem solve under pressure.

Your Responsibilities

The essential functions of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead the full project management life cycle for the implementation of cross-departmental technology and business initiatives, ranging from the simple to the complex, including co-management of projects with third parties/vendors.
  • Create and manage detailed project documentation in accordance with the policies and processes of the PMO, including but not limited to project plans and documentation of associated risks, issues and decisions
  • Work with project team to ensure resolution of issues, completion of tasks, so that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and primed for long-term business success.
  • Present project updates, including escalation of risks and technical issues, to executive management on a regular basis, and document resulting item resolution.
  • Coordinate with outside consultants (vendors, independent contractors, etc.) to ensure PMO and business objectives are aligned and Bank expectations are satisfied.
  • Hold project team members accountable, while communicating, and routinely updating, project expectations to project team members and stakeholders in an efficient and clear fashion.
