About Us

TruBlue of Western DuPage is a professional home maintenance and handyman service serving homeowners throughout the western Chicago suburbs. We specialize in helping busy families, seniors, and homeowners maintain safe, functional, and beautiful homes.

We are growing and looking for a detail-oriented Project Manager to help coordinate jobs, support technicians, and ensure projects run smoothly from start to finish.

The Part-Time Project Manager will oversee small to mid-size home service projects including repairs, handyman work, accessibility modifications, and light remodeling. This role ensures projects are organized, materials are ready, technicians are supported, and customers receive an excellent experience.

This position is ideal for someone with construction, remodeling, or handyman experience who enjoys organization and customer communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage multiple home service projects from scheduling through completion

  • Review scopes of work and ensure technicians understand job requirements

  • Confirm materials and tools are ready before projects begin

  • Visit job sites as needed to check progress and quality

  • Communicate with homeowners regarding scheduling, updates, and questions

  • Work closely with technicians to solve problems and keep projects moving

  • Document job progress with photos and notes

  • Ensure projects stay on schedule and within scope

  • Identify opportunities for additional work or improvements

  • Maintain strong customer satisfaction and professionalism

Qualifications

  • Experience in construction, remodeling, handyman services, or home maintenance

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Comfortable using basic technology (smartphone apps, scheduling tools, photos)

  • Problem-solving mindset

  • Professional and customer-focused attitude

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Preferred (but not required)

  • Experience managing subcontractors or technicians

  • Estimating or project planning experience

  • Familiarity with home repair trades (carpentry, drywall, painting, light plumbing/electrical)
