The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Project Delivery Lead, you’ll oversee the successful delivery of projects in the hydropower and geothermal space, working with a variety of our clients. Our home base is Wairakei, however with many of our projects happening all around us, there are plenty of opportunities to get out on site to liaise with clients and delivery teams.

You’ll have multiple projects on the go and enjoy the ability to influence outcomes through interactions with our inhouse estimators, workshops, design engineers and fitting crews – we are a one stop shop for our energy clients!

You’ll primarily be responsible for:

• Providing full end to end project ownership and delivery for our clients ensuring successful outcomes
• Building and fostering trusting and collaborative client relationships for long lasting project delivery
• Assisting with, and defining project scope and ensuring technical feasibility
• Measuring project performance and providing reporting and financial reports to clients
• Supporting the preparation and submission of tender documents

• Plan, produce and manage relevant documentation including schedules, resourcing requirements, procurement plans and third-party contracts

About You:

We see this person as a proven project manager with experience in the heavy industry/mechanical sector and a passion to positively contribute to New Zealand’s energy sector.

You’ll bring exceptional organisational skills and a natural ability to keep things moving whilst keeping key stakeholders engaged. Proficient in project management fundamentals (PMP), you’ll also offer:

• A collaborative approach confident working across all levels involved in project execution
• Sound financial and commercial understanding
• A proven ability to negotiate with a solution-based approach
