1. Main Objectives
• Serve as key point of contact for the customer and company engineering organization
• Manage customer and development projects to ensure customer and company success
• Manage Development activities with cross-functional groups to ensure the projects are within the defined specifications, cost and delivery schedule
• Own and present technical data, concepts, and specifications to customers
• Provide timely update to management and project requestors with the clear status of the development projects
2. Responsibilities
• Interface and engage with customers at the technical and end-user level
• Translate the information, request or specification given by requestors into the project requirement
• Prepare cost estimate for engineering hours, prototype spending and final system cost
• Drive the DFMEA, Risk Assessment and brainstorming for new system or feature development
• Preparation, planning and coordination of project tasks to ensure compliance with its requirements, schedule and cost, with involved task managers and engineers
• Management and coordination of the development materials and tools
• Ensure complete verification and validation, with proper hand-over to operation and field service team including the necessary technical documentations and training
• Communication of development project related informations to other stakeholders
• Interface with upper management, engineering, sales, and field service to ensure projects have adequate resources, communicate status, and to coordinate resolution of technical issues
• Any tasks that may be assigned to you from time to time

4. Authority
• Access to Cohu Engineering documents needed to fulfill objectives and responsibilities
• Resource management of Cohu engineering resources in-line with Cohu employment handbook (daily tasks, leave, extra-hours, travels)
5. Requirements & Qualifications
• Excellent time management and planning skills
• Experienced in different statistics and quality tools (DFMEA, DOE, and risk assessment)
• Experienced in working effectively with cross-functional team
• Strong knowledge on semiconductor equipment process
• Strong commitment to learning, development and continuous improvement
• Effective verbal and written communication. Able to clearly convey information and ideas
• Diplomatic, patience and good listening skills
• Creative, innovative, out of the box problem solving
• Willing to travel for about 20% of the time to supplier or customer (local/oversea)
