Job DetailsJob Location: Automatic Pool Covers, Inc - Westfield, IN 46074Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: 4 Year DegreeSalary Range: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 SalaryThe Project Manager for Automatic Pool Covers is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing automatic pool cover projects from order placement through installation and closeout. This role serves as the primary point of contact between internal teams, dealers, builders, installers, and customers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manage automatic pool cover projects from initial order through final installation and closeout
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project
Coordinate timelines, milestones, and resources with builders, dealers, and installation teams
Review project specifications, measurements, drawings, and site details for accuracy and completeness
Communicate project status, updates, risks, and changes to all stakeholders
Identify and resolve project risks, issues, and field challenges proactively
Ensure materials, components, and resources are ordered and delivered on schedule
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, logistics, and installation teams
Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and customer-facing materials, including use of Microsoft Publisher
Ensure compliance with company standards, safety requirements, and applicable regulations
Support post-installation follow-up, troubleshooting, and customer satisfaction efforts
Qualifications
3+ years of project management experience in construction, manufacturing, or custom installations
Experience with automatic pool covers, pools, construction trades, or mechanical systems strongly preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Project for scheduling, dependencies, and timeline management
Working knowledge of Microsoft Publisher for creating project documentation and presentations
Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills with internal teams, contractors, and customers
Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, measurements, and installation plans
Certifications (Preferred)
PMP (Project Management Professional)
CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management)
PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner)
Construction-related or trade certifications
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
Work Environment
Combination of office-based work and field coordination
Occasional travel to job sites, dealers, or builders as needed
Physical Requirements
Ability to visit job sites and navigate construction environments
Ability to lift light materials and equipment as required
