Job Description

Valiant is seeking a skilled Project Manager to provide interpretation, translation/transcription services in support of the NATO (Northern Atlantic Treaty Organization).

Responsibilities and Duties:

• The Project Manager PM shall be the individual responsible for ensuring delivery of services as specified in the Contract.
• The PM shall actively cooperate with the NSPA CO, TO, and QCM personnel to facilitate service delivery and resolve issues that arise. 
• The PM will work remotely; remote work arrangements require adherence to specific requirements for communication, availability, and data security.
• Must be available and on-call at all times and can be reached via cell phone by the Customer in response to an out-of-hours call out
• PM will be the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) on-call at all times and must be available to be reached via cell phone by NSPA or the Customer.
• The Project Manager must be able to represent Valiant in all matters related to the day-to-day implementation of the contract and related on-site operational activities pursuant to contract implementation.  
• The PM will be Valiant’s representative for all locations in one country, responsible for ensuring delivery of the services specified in the contract within the timelines indicated.  
• The PM must actively cooperate with NSPA and Customer representatives to facilitate service delivery and resolve issues that arise.  
• The PM must attend and contribute to all recurring and ad-hoc meetings on site as requested by NSPA and Customer.
• Accountable for all aspects of the task order execution and manages the hands-on, day-to-day execution of TO-related operational activities.
• Responsible for TO PMO operations and resourcing of all TO requirements, including linguist staffing, Government Furnished Equipment (GFE)* accountability, and tasking responses
• Responsible for meeting all technical, financial, and contractual requirements of the TO
• Ensures that management processes and business systems facilitate meeting performance requirements
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must have a TOEIC English language proficiency level of 850+ or an equivalent certification from CEFR, FCE, TOEFL, CAE, or IELTS
• Must have proven experience in the management of similar projects.  
• Has the communication skills to effectively interface with senior military officials, managers, and subordinates.
• Must be willing to travel, as required, to multiple OCONUS locations in support of mission needs.
• Must be a US citizen.
• Must have an active SECRET clearance.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in a business-related field
• Current PMP Certification

Additional Requirements:

• Fit for Duty – The selected candidate must undergo an extensive medical examination to be certified medically fit for duty in the work assignment location. Similarly, the selected candidate must undergo a dental examination to be certified that there are no foreseen imminent dental issues. And the selected candidate must be vaccinated according to the required immunizations for the Area of Operation of the work assignment or be able and willing to receive the required immunizations prior to deployment to the work assignment location.
• Must have sufficient unaided hearing to perform duties safely, hear and wake up to emergency alarms unaided, and hear instructions in the absence of visual cues such as lip reading. If an applicant does not meet this requirement, Speech Recognition in Noise Test (SPRINT) or equivalent testing is required, along with an approved waiver.
• Must be able to work under stressful circumstances and meet short suspense dates.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Must be free of medical restrictions/ limitations that prevent the performance of required duties and/ or prevent the wearing and utilization of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Must be physically capable of performing the work in conditions of extreme temperatures, low humidity, rain and blowing sand and dust.
• May be required to work on uncommon hours of duty, extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Employees shall utilize all proper lifting procedures and practices associated with all lifting and material handling tasks that are assigned and associated with this job description.
• Must be able to stand, stoop, crawl and climb as necessary to perform job functions using proper techniques and PPE for extended periods unassisted.
