Job Description

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our Project Management team in Athens. Holding the position in our organization you will be responsible and accountable to manage a portfolio of complex projects with a focus on banking-related systems and collections solutions adhering to the highest quality standards and global principles for project management.

Accountable to define and manage the project scope along with continuous alignment with our business objectives and strategic roadmap. Responsible to manage complexity of requirements along with inherent risks across different business areas and domains with strong technical interdependencies and tight deadlines.

Defines and controls the project plan and make recommendations by applying scheduling and risk management technics when necessary. Sets the boundaries of the project and ensures alignment of all projects under his/her supervision with standards and program management methodology, including compliance with regulations where applicable.

Leads an effective project team by providing guidance and mentorship at all levels of engagement. Establish trustworthy relationships and maintains communication with stakeholders at various levels in an ethical and transparent way.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage complex, end-to-end software delivery projects in the financial ecosystem, coordinating multi-disciplinary and geographically distributed teams
  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, success criteria, and governance structures in alignment with client and business goals of our organization
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring transparent communication, expectation management, and high client satisfaction
  • Monitor project performance against agreed milestones, budgets, and quality standards, ensuring timely issue resolution
  • Manage changes to scope, schedule, and cost through structured change control processes
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks; develop contingency plans and drive prioritization when constraints arise
  • Prepare and deliver clear, executive-level project updates and presentations to C-level stakeholders and technical leadership
  • Ensure that all project activities are executed in full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal governance frameworks
  • Support and promote the ongoing implementation of the Group Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy
  • Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting the continued implementation of the Group Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A strong academic background, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Project Management for software application projects, ideally within the Banking or Financial Services sector
  • PMP and/or PRINCE2 certification, which will be considered a strong assetExcellent client-facing skills, with strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Proven organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneouslyStrong teamwork and leadership capabilities, including experience coordinating distributed or virtual team
  • Ability to perform effectively under tight deadlines, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to change
  • Excellent command of English, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of French and/or Italian will be considered an advantage
