Flynn Group of Companies is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join the Edmonton Branch. The Project Manager is required to complete construction projects, safely and with quality (of work and service), to further Flynn’s reputation in the industry and have the ultimate goal of establishing long-term, repeat customers. They will be the conductor/conduit for all internal departments of Flynn. They will be responsible for managing, analyzing, forecasting, and reporting on all financial aspects of a project and is the main point of contact with the client and is the care-taker of the project.  A day in the LifeManage and maintain budgetsManage Clients and PartnershipsConfer with and direct supervisory personnel and subcontractorsEngage in planning and executing work procedures; interpret specifications, coordinate various phases of construction to prevent delays and review change orders to ensure additional work is completedInspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and adheres to construction schedulesConfer with employees, inspectors and suppliers of tools and materials to resolve construction problems and improve construction methodsConsult with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve issues
What we are Seeking5 years’ experience as a Project Manager; general contracting and/or building envelope background preferredEducation in a civil engineering/building science program or a related educational field is preferredKnowledge of curtain wall/glazing systems is requiredProficiency in MS office package, including MS ProjectStrong organizational skills and communication skillsStrong analytical, problem solving and decision making abilitiesStrong negotiation skillsAbility to multi-task and work in a team environment
