Role:
The Project Manager (PM) will lead the Project Management Office and drive strategic projects to completion, champion project management standards, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure projects deliver business value on time and on budget. The PM will act as a change agent, continuously improving PMO processes and methodologies, and fostering collaboration across departments. This role is internally focused, prioritizing stakeholder engagement and process improvement.

Essential Functions:

• Lead multiple enterprise projects end-to-end, ensuring they align with strategic goals and are delivered on time, within budget, and scope. Establish overall PMO standards for project execution across the organization.
• Coordinate cross-functional project teams, removing impediments and enabling high performance. Engage internal stakeholders regularly to keep objectives aligned and address risks or changes proactively.
• Manages vendor relationships related to the definition project requirements, ongoing implementation efforts, and escalations necessary to deliver successful projects.
• Report project status and risks to leadership and stakeholders in a timely, transparent manner, including enterprise-level interdependencies and resources needed. Ensure leadership is apprised of roadblocks and mitigation plans.
Ensure thorough documentation, lessons learned, and formal project closure for each initiative, leveraging these insights to refine PMO processes. Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management frameworks, tools, and best practices for the organization.
• Adheres to all regulatory requirements, both within the credit union industry and in general. Maintain an understanding of regulations and other external drivers that may affect the organization.

Experience:

  • Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
  • (1) A bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field, or (2) achievement of
    formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree. CBAP,
    Lean Six Sigma, and/or PMP certification preferred but not required.

Other Skills:

Motivating or influencing others is a material part of the job. Outside contacts become
important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or
individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas
or services to others. The role requires a significant level of trust or diplomacy.

Work Environment:

  • The Credit Union follows a hybrid work structure for some positions where employees can work remotely. On a weekly basis all WFH employees are required to be in office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
    Based on the demands of specific tasks or department requirements, WFH employees may need to be available for in office work at their manager's discretion. Working from the office may be necessary for certain collaborative tasks.
