Job Description

Essential Functions/Key Accountabilities:

  • Follow direction provided by Director Project Management.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to, and enforcing, all safety procedures and policies inside and outside the facility, including use of personal protective and McLanahan equipment as required.
  • Represent McLanahan Corporation in a positive manner both internally and externally while adhering to the organization’s core values.
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers, management, customers, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Provides assistance with front end sales quotes regarding pricing, production times and logistics.
  • Manage the entire life cycle of all assigned projects, serving as the liaison between external and internal customers.
  • Enter all relevant sales data into the ERP system, establish tasks, distribute preliminary information and create and manage project folders according to company standards.
  • Ensure the project is completed accurately, profitably, on time and in the best interest of the company and customer maintaining open communications with all parties.
  • Maintain a relationship with the customer, developing business opportunities for current and future needs.
  • Facilitate ‘kick off’ meeting with all required departments to review order and develop a plan to exceed customer expectations, and hold follow up meetings to ensure deadlines are being met.
  • Maintain communications with internal and external customers to ensure project tasks are being accomplished effectively and efficiently within the established time frames.
  • Maintain focus and drive results of both profitability and timeliness for all major projects and any parts orders deemed necessary to manage.
  • Attend and actively participate in customer start up; trade shows and other events where industry segment, representatives, customers, and prospects are in attendance.
  • Make professional presentations to customers, management, and leadership.

Education/Qualifications/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of related experience.

Competencies/ Knowledge/Attributes:

  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Familiar with reading and understanding blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Computer literacy including MS Office applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Ability to successfully reach company goals in an environment in which a wide degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Physical Requirements:

This position is typically located in an office setting and requires sitting and standing for long periods of time. The position requires ambulatory skills sufficient to travel domestically and internationally. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, visual acuity to use a keyboard, and operate standard office equipment. Requires the ability to express or exchange ideas by means of both verbal and written communication. Ability to interact with personnel on the shop floor, including wearing the proper personnel protective equipment.
