Your Impact:

Do you want to play a key Project Management role in delivering capability into the UK Eurofighter Typhoon fleet? The Secretary of State for Defence announced the UK ECRS Mk2 Production contract during a visit to Leonardo Edinburgh in January 2026. We have an exciting opportunity to join the ECRS Mk2 Production programme at an early stage of its lifecycle. Based in Edinburgh, you will have the opportunity to influence the direction of this programme and to collaborate closely with the ongoing development programme. The role will require a strong interface with cross-functional teams to drive the programme forward, drive efficiency, and innovation, all with an aim of maintaining the production delivery schedule required by the customer:

What you will do as Project Manager – ECRS Mk2 Production:

  • In conjunction with the project accountant, monitor and control project finances and the CSR.
  • Support business winning activities for Export and follow-on UK production contracts.
  • Assist in adherence to Lifecycle management.
  • In conjunction with manufacturing, material control, procurement and the development team, manage the phase release of material into a complex supply chain, balancing design maturing with risk.

What you’ll bring:

  • Ability to work with people, negotiate mutually beneficial outcomes and be comfortable making decisions.
  • Strong analytical, management & financial skills to support accurate project schedule and cost reporting.
  • A level of technical and business process knowledge to aid in the development of an operational framework for production support and to manage the day-to-day activities including material supply, failure & material review boards, configuration & change management and work-package management
  • APM accreditation or qualifications relevant to the role - beneficial, not essential
