Your new role

As a Project Management Specialist for the Novo Nordisk Haemophilia Foundation, you'll oversee project and portfolio management across Latin America, driving sustainable local outcomes and creating measurable impact for communities living with haemophilia and haemoglobinopathies. You will be based in Panama City on a fixed-term contract for 2 years. Initially, covering the full Latin America region during a maternity leave period, you'll then focus on Central America, the Caribbean, and Mexico.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Managing and proactively developing a growing regional programme portfolio with innovative programme and service offerings that address real community needs
• Creating, measuring, and communicating sustainable local impact – making a tangible difference to the haemophilia and haemoglobinopathies community in Latin America
• Developing programmes, facilitating workshops and processes, managing budgets, and monitoring progress to ensure delivery of local outcomes and impact
• Leveraging learnings within the team, amongst partners in Latin America, and with international stakeholders through various initiatives and platforms
• Representing the Foundation at congresses and preparing and hosting programme-related events across Latin America
• Operating resourcefully in a complex stakeholder environment, working closely with local implementing partners and community stakeholders

Your new department

You'll be part of the Novo Nordisk Haemophilia Foundation (NNHF) team, reporting directly to the Head of Programmes. Working collaboratively with team members responsible for South America and other regions, you'll help drive the Foundation's mission to improve care and quality of life for people living with haemophilia and haemoglobinopathies. This is a unique opportunity to combine project management expertise with meaningful social impact across Latin America.

Your skills & qualifications

We're looking for an experienced project management professional with a passion for healthcare development and the ability to thrive in a multicultural, nonprofit environment. You'll bring:

• Master's degree in public health, sociology, business administration, project management, economics, or related fields
• Strong project and stakeholder management skills, particularly from nonprofit organisation experience
• Proven experience facilitating processes, workshops, and meetings with diverse stakeholder groups
• Spanish and English proficiency in both written and spoken communication
• Strong cross-cultural skills and intercultural awareness, especially of Latin America, coupled with positive team spirit
• Resourcefulness in solving problems and diligence when operating in complex stakeholder environments, consistently delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines
• Willingness to travel across Latin America approximately 30-40% of the time
• Experience with healthcare development and advocacy (advantageous)

The Novo Nordisk Haemophilia & Haemoglobinopathies Foundation (NNHF) is a non-profit organisation improving access to care for people with haemophilia and haemoglobinopathies in low- and middle-income countries. The NNHF funds projects that build capacity for diagnosis and care, strengthen infrastructure, and drive data-based advocacy. Its partnership-based approach allows for custom-tailored solutions, rooted in each nation’s context.
