The Opportunity

As an Assistant Manager / Senior Executive - Project Management, you will be responsible for leading and supporting business and technology transformation projects across a diverse range of industries. You will work closely with clients, project teams, and key stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes while ensuring effective governance, resource management, risk mitigation, and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle.

This role offers exposure to strategic transformation initiatives, ERP implementations, digital transformation programs, business process improvement engagements, and enterprise technology projects. Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Plan and manage medium to large-scale projects from initiation through successful completion.
• Design and execute comprehensive project plans, including scope defi nition, resource allocation, risk assessment, budgeting, and timeline management.
• Monitor project deliverables and performance to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and quality expectations.
• Prepare and present project status reports, milestone updates, governance packs, and executive-level stakeholder communications.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while acting as a trusted point of contact for project-related matters.
• Identify, assess, and proactively manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation plans to drive successful project outcomes.
• Support change management initiatives and guide clients through business transformation and technology adoption journeys.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and client satisfaction.

Skills and Attributes for Success

• Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Information Technology (IT), Business Information Systems, Business Management, or a related field from a recognized university.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering business and technology transformation projects.
• Professional certifi cations such as PMP, CAPM, Scrum Master, will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with leading ERP, Digital Transformation, or Enterprise Technology solutions.
• Sound understanding of business processes, Business Process Reengineering (BPR), process optimization, value stream mapping, and change management methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, execute, monitor, and control projects, ensuring delivery within agreed scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to proactively identify risks, resolve issues, and drive project outcomes.
• Excellent people management, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams and managing vendor relationships.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare executive-level reports, facilitate workshops, and deliver effective presentations.
• Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar platforms.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English and Sinhala, with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
