The opportunity:
Lead Service Project Management and Order Handling team for HITACHI ENERGY SERVICE BUSINESS in AUSTRALIA, ensuring successful delivery of complex energy solutions within scope, budget, and schedule, while fostering strong client relationships and team performance.
How you’ll make an impact:
You will oversee the full project lifecycle from initiation to closure, including planning, execution, monitoring, and controlling all project activities.
You will develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies, lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback and act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication, managing expectations, and resolving issues promptly.
You will identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, develop contingency plans as necessary, ensure adherence to company standards, quality procedures, and safety regulations throughout all project phases.
You will monitor project progress, prepare regular status reports, and present updates to stakeholders, manage project finances, including cost control, forecasting, and invoicing.
You will facilitate effective communication and collaboration between internal departments, subcontractors, external partners, conduct post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions to drive continuous improvement.
You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:
You hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering, Project Management, or a related technical field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management within the energy, infrastructure, or heavy industrial sectors.
Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget. PMP or equivalent project management certification highly desirable. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize effectively, in-depth knowledge of project methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
Understanding of financial management principles and contract administration, ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment and willingness to travel as required.
Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
