Project Management Cadet

About the Role

As a Project Management Cadet, you’ll work on-site with the BGIS team to support the planning, coordination and delivery of real-world capital, infrastructure and maintenance projects. You’ll gain exposure across project phases, collaborate with contractors and internal stakeholders, and build practical skills in project execution and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning, scheduling and tracking project tasks, deliverables and milestones.
  • Support project documentation, reporting and communication with stakeholders and contractors.
  • Attend site meetings, capture notes, and assist in coordinating trades and subcontractors.
  • Help monitor budgets, costs, and project progress against timelines.
  • Support compliance with WHSE, quality and regulatory requirements on site, incl
  • Aid in risk identification and resolution under guidance from senior project staff.

What You’ll Bring

  • Working towards or recently completed a degree/diploma in Project Management, Construction, Engineering or related field.
  • Strong organisational skills with a keen interest in project delivery and problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with project software is a plus.
  • A proactive, adaptable approach with a willingness to learn on the job.
