Job Description

Job Purpose

This role provides overall program leadership, governance, and oversight across the full project lifecycle, ensuring alignment to Dana’s strategic objectives, capital investment expectations, and operational requirements.

Project Manager acts as the primary interface between Dana and the turnkey integrator while driving cross-functional alignment within Dana to support effective execution. The role ensures disciplined management of project performance, risk, and compliance, while maintaining focus on safety, operational continuity, and long-term business outcomes.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead overall program governance for the foundry expansion, serving as Dana’s single point of accountability for project performance across schedule, cost, scope, and risk.
  • Drive project schedule adherence by reviewing and validating detailed timelines, monitoring progress against key milestones, and proactively addressing risks or delays impacting critical path activities.
  • Ensure delivery of all project deliverables by enforcing accountability across all workstreams (engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning) and validating completion against defined requirements.
  • Own capital budget performance by tracking actual spend versus approved investment, identifying variances, and driving corrective actions to maintain financial targets.

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related technical field required
  • Master’s degree (MBA or Engineering) preferred
  • Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent) strongly preferred

Experience

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in capital project management, manufacturing, or industrial operations
  • Proven experience leading large-scale capital projects ($20M+ total investment preferred) in manufacturing, heavy industrial, or automotive environments
  • Demonstrated experience working in an owner’s representative or governance role overseeing third-party execution (EPC, turnkey integrator, or contractor-led model)
  • Experience managing projects within an active manufacturing environment with strong focus on minimizing operational disruption
  • Strong background in multi-disciplinary project execution, including engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning
  • Experience with capital budget management, financial tracking, and cost control
  • Proven track record of leading change management processes across scope, cost, and schedule

Experience working in complex, matrixed organizations with multiple stakeholders and decision-makers

Skills and Competencies

  • Proven program leadership capability, with the ability to lead complex, large-scale capital projects across the full lifecycle (engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover)
  • Demonstrated ability to drive execution and accountability without direct authority, effectively leading cross-functional teams and external partners within a matrixed organization
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, including capital budgeting, cost control, forecasting, and the ability to evaluate and challenge contracts, change orders, and financial impacts
  • Expertise in change management and risk mitigation, with the ability to manage scope, cost, and schedule changes while proactively identifying and resolving risks impacting project outcomes
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with proven ability to influence and align executive leadership, plant operations, technical teams, and external partners
  • Strong operational mindset, with experience executing projects within active manufacturing environments and the ability to balance project delivery with business continuity requirements
  • Accountability for safety leadership, with a demonstrated ability to enforce compliance expectations and drive a safety-first culture through oversight and leadership
  • Solid technical understanding of industrial manufacturing systems and construction execution, including equipment installation, multi-discipline coordination, and commissioning processes (foundry or heavy industrial experience strongly preferred)
  • Proficiency in project management systems and tools
  • Strong personal leadership and execution discipline
