At a glance:

We are seeking an experienced Project Leader Engineering to join our team in Barcelona, Spain. In this role, you will lead multidisciplinary warehouse automation projects from engineering handover through commissioning and customer acceptance. Working closely with mechanical, structural, electrical, safety, and controls engineers, you will coordinate technical execution across multiple engineering disciplines and ensure the successful delivery of complex automation solutions for customers across Southern Europe.

Your Impact:

• Lead multidisciplinary warehouse automation projects from engineering handover through commissioning, go-live, and customer acceptance.
• Translate customer requirements into integrated automation solutions, aligning mechanical, electrical, controls, and safety deliverables.
• Drive project execution by coordinating engineering teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to achieve quality, budget, and schedule commitments.
• Ensure successful collaboration and integration of third-party equipment, OT controls, and software solutions with external partners.
• Work closely with international engineering teams across multiple locations to deliver innovative and scalable automation solutions.
• Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks, integration challenges, and operational readiness issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor engineering progress, resolve technical escalations, and drive effective decision-making across project teams.
• Support testing, commissioning, system validation, and go-live activities to ensure successful customer handover.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, engineering excellence, and knowledge sharing across the organization.

What makes you a great fit?

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Controls Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Proven experience leading complex engineering, automation, or warehouse technology projects with responsibility for scope, planning, budgeting, and risk management.
• Experience working within warehouse automation, intralogistics, material handling, or industrial automation environments.
• Strong understanding of multidisciplinary engineering projects, including mechanical, electrical, software, and controls disciplines.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to effectively connect customers, suppliers, and engineering teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a structured and pragmatic approach.
• Results-oriented mindset with the ability to balance quality, cost, schedule, functionality, and technical requirements.
• Native Spanish speaker with a good command of English.
• Collaborative leadership style and proven ability to motivate cross-functional project teams.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 15%.
