Men are dying too young – and it doesn’t have to be that way.
Around the world, men are facing a health crisis: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, poor mental health and suicide. At Movember we’re on a mission to change the face of men’s health by making it easier for men to talk, act and live longer healthier lives.
Every project, every campaign, every idea adds up to real change. You’ll be part of a moustache-powered crew who believe making an impact and having fun should go hand in hand. Your mission is calling.
DO GOOD. Work for Movember.
Your Mo-Mission (should you choose to accept it):
Men in Mind is Movember's evidence-based health professional education program, built to give mental and behavioural health practitioners the tools to better engage, respond to, and retain men in care. As Project Lead, Men in Mind Mental Health, you'll lead the operational delivery and growth of this program across Australia's mental health sector.
The role spans three interconnected workstreams. The first is leading implementation of Men in Mind across mental health settings nationally, serving as the primary coordination point between Movember and partner health services, and progressing pathways for health service uptake, workforce integration, and sustainable delivery. The second is leading delivery under Movember's active funding agreement with the Tasmanian Department of Health, through which Men in Mind is delivered to publicly funded mental health professionals in Tasmania in support of the Tasmanian Suicide Prevention Strategy, while also supporting emerging feasibility studies with State Governments on routine mental health checks for new fathers within perinatal health systems. The third is supporting sector convening across the fatherhood and perinatal mental health field, ensuring that practitioner engagement, advisory group outputs, and sector intelligence feed back into Movember's broader health service improvement work.
Across all three workstreams, your job is to keep things moving with precision and care. That means maintaining implementation toolkits and resources, tracking practitioner reach against funded targets, coordinating advisory group operations, preparing funding compliance reports and acquittals, and managing a wide range of internal and external stakeholders simultaneously, from state government funders and health service partners to professional bodies, PHNs, and fatherhood sector organisations.
You'll work in close coordination with the Project Leads for Men in Mind Primary Care and the Movember Men's Health Education initiative to maintain a consistent national implementation approach across the Men in Mind program suite, and in close partnership with the Research Fellow leading feasibility studies to sequence implementation activity appropriately and manage research dependencies.
This is a role for someone who brings both operational rigour and genuine warmth to their stakeholder relationships, who understands the complexity of government-funded program delivery, and who is motivated by the real-world impact of making healthcare work better for men.
No Moustache Required - but the following are:
Demonstrated experience in project management and complex program delivery, ideally within health, not-for-profit, or government-funded environments.
Strong stakeholder engagement and coordination skills, with the ability to manage relationships across research, government, health service, and sector partner contexts simultaneously.
Experience managing government-funded program obligations, including compliance with reporting requirements and funder relationship management.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate across multiple workstreams with different leads and timelines, including research, governance, and implementation functions.
Experience with advisory group or committee management, including coordinating meetings, managing agendas, and driving follow-through on agreed actions.
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines across a complex project environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing reports, briefings, and stakeholder communications for external audiences.
A solid understanding of the Australian mental health system, including the landscape of publicly funded services, workforce, and professional training pathways.
Genuine commitment to Movember's mission and an understanding of men's health, gender-responsive care, or health professional education.
Clinical background with postgraduate degree in health services or related discipline
Not Mission Critical - but for extra street cred:
Experience working in or alongside a research team, including familiarity with ethics submission processes, HREC timelines, and research governance requirements.
Experience supporting health services through the implementation of workforce training programs, including practitioner onboarding, access management, and integration into clinical governance.
Familiarity with state government funding agreements and associated compliance and reporting requirements.
Experience in commercial or business development functions within a health or not-for-profit setting, including familiarity with licensing, pricing, or partnership models.
Knowledge of the Men in Mind program, Movember's Health Systems Portfolio, or gender-responsive healthcare practice.
A project management qualification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent.
GOOD CAUSE:
Working for Movember, you’ll help turn ideas (and moustaches) into millions for men’s health. Every bit we raise changes the face of men’s health by funding research, improving treatments, and supporting programs that help save lives
We’re even shaping government policies on men’s health worldwide. By meeting directly with lawmakers, and helping them understand how more investment on men’s health benefits not just men, but all the communities they serve.
GOOD VIBES:
We love weekends. That’s why our Fridays finish early for nine months of the year. But we also love our office vibe. Because here, it always feels like something big is about to happen. Be it an office-wide surprise birthday party (with cake!) or an open invite for all to hit the pub.
Come the hairy season, the energy cranks up. We’re talking celebrity visits. Live stunts on-site for TV and radio. And when we hit a fundraising milestone, the office gong might even go off. But, for those who prefer calm, no probs: hybrid working means you work where you feel best.
GOOD CREW:
Spoiler alert: we’re a no-ego, all-impact crew. That means everyone gets a say, from new starters to those leading the charge. Collaboration over hierarchies, curiosity over rigid process. And it’s true across all our offices worldwide. We work as one, sharing expertise and celebrating wins. All in the name of making the biggest impact across the globe. United, we Mo.
We offer:
Flexible hybrid working from home and our modern Richmond office
Finish work at 2pm on Fridays (Dec-Aug)
NFP salary packaging (pay less tax)
13 weeks paid parental leave and 5 weeks annual leave
Fun & collaborative culture with employee social events
Free Headspace subscription and other wellbeing initiative
Relaxed dress code
Boy, do we know the feeling of being judged. (Over how we look, and other things that shouldn’t matter.) Being different is how we started. And it’s also helped us raise $1 billion for men’s health. So, we know the power of diverse experiences, skills and perspectives.
And another impressive number is our WGEA gender pay gap: it sits at a big, fat, round 0%. If you’ve got the relevant skills and the right attitude, let nothing stand in your way of firing off your application.
Movember is stronger when Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are part of our crew. We want you to feel supported in exploring opportunities with us. That’s why before applying, we invite you to yarn with Raymond Rosendale, Australian Indigenous Programs Manager, in a virtual catch-up to talk about the role, our community work, or just to share ideas.
Do you want to DO GOOD?
If so, we’d love to hear from you.

Since 2003, Movember has built a global men’s health movement, funding more than 1,300 projects around the world, challenging the status quo,
shaking up men’s health research and transforming the way health services reach and support men. Movember has taken on three of the biggest health
issues affecting men: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health, and suicide.
Movember has:
▪ Invested almost $350 million in over 600 biomedical research projects, focusing on prostate and testicular cancer.
▪ Funded 4 prostate cancer registries, with over 200,000 men enrolled from 23 countries.
▪ Supported interventions designed to assist and guide men through the prostate cancer journey, offering them resources and information so
that they are empowered to make their own decisions, manage symptoms and share lived experiences.
▪ Since taking on mental health and suicide as a cause area in 2006, Movember has united experts, funded bold new approaches and embraced
fresh perspectives. We’ve focused on prevention, early intervention, and health promotion through a male lens.
Movember is for everyone, not just for men. We are a health movement and our invitation to take part is open to everyone. We champion healthcare that
is sensitive to the needs of everyone, including men, so that everyone benefits. And we have a strong focus on how improving men's health can have a
profoundly positive impact on women, families, and society as a whole.
But we lead the charge in encouraging men to adopt healthy behaviours, challenging health systems and confronting gender norms to reduce health
inequalities and save more lives. To donate or learn more, please visit Movember.com.
