With Manufacturing Services we are looking for a strong expert who can get our Facility Lay out department to the next level.
Due to the increase of production and the constant need to introduce new products in our factories we need to expand our buildings or re-allocate services to other buildings.

The Project Lead - Facility Lay out Engineering reviews and challenges requirements for our infrastructure for Manufacturing Services and translates this into layout specifications towards Cooperate Real Estate (CRE)

Role and responsibilities

You will be the technical expert to develop Facility Lay out by reviewing and challenging high level infrastructure for Manufacturing Services and translating these requirements into layout requirements towards Cooperate Real Estate. You will need to master the complexity of expanding services and factories in a dynamic factory environment.


Manufacturing Services is responsible for several services such as, Logistic Operations, Service Lab and Manufacturing Academy. This means you support these Departments with the Facility Lay out in order to deliver optimized Services in, short lead-times and optimized costs to support the ASML Factories in ‘short time to market’ by;

  • Execute high level feasibility studies on factory lay-out on long term

  • Translate high level system requirements to Facility specifications

  • Align requirements and solutions with your functional architect counterpart within CRE

  • Align technical design with internal / external stakeholders

  • Provide Factory Layout to meet user requirements.

  • Review and challenge technical input

  • Support Project Lead by scope definition and technical alignments

  • Project manager role from the customer MFS for new build and/or renovation projects to CRE

  • Participate and attend CRE Project team meetings

Education and experience

  • Master degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical engineering or Applied Physics is preferred and experience with or in Facility related area is a pre.

  • >5 years of experience in an Engineering, Production or Service environment with high tech products and complex production processes

  • Proven track record in relation to industrialization, serviceability or availability and specifically system reliability, diagnostics and recovery

  • Experience with analyzing (new) designs to define the critical areas with guidelines for required improvements

  • > 5 years of experience as Project Manager or Project Lead set up new (re-)buildings

  • Working in multi-disciplinary teams

  • Broad scope: ASML system knowledge, software, mechanics, electronics, optics, data analyses, agile

Part of our Operations sector, the Business Engineering group, helps factory management teams achieve this. It supports capacity planning and budgeting, organizes shop-floor measurements to drive efficiency and structural improvements, and builds expertise on flexibility and organization. This role primarily focuses on our Manufacturing Services in Veldhoven, the Netherlands.


For this position, the indicative (fixed) annual salary range is between 88,000euro and 100,000euro This range comprises vacation allowance and a 13th-month payment. Company profit sharing and shift allowance (if applicable) are not included in this range. The actual compensation offered will depend on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: job-related skills, relevant education and (work) experience, certifications, demonstrated abilities of the candidate, pay relative to other team members.
