We’re seeking an experienced Diabetes Nurse Educator to lead the development and launch of a best-practice training program on insulin administration and diabetes care through Diabetes Care Plus, the clinical service of Diabetes Victoria. This training will support disability and aged care support workers, care coordinators, youth workers, residential staff, and education/activity program staff to build safe, confident capability in diabetes care.
You’ll work closely with the Clinical Services Coordinator to ensure the program is clinically aligned, legally and governance compliant, accessible to diverse learners, and embedded across relevant sectors. You will also contribute to Diabetes Victoria's broader professional development offerings and continuous improvement activities.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.

Our campus partners, the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) and The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics, along with the RCH Foundation, are on site with the hospital in Parkville. In 2016–17, more than 85,654 children attended our Emergency Department, 322,291 specialist clinic appointments were held which was almost 70,000 more than the previous year, more than 17,000 surgeries were performed and more than 48,552 children were admitted to our wards.
