About the Opportunity

Geo Resource Ltd is working with a junior gold exploration company focused on Francophone West Africa. The company is in an active multi-project exploration phase with strong newsflow, a growing portfolio, and ambitions to become a regional player.

They are seeking a Project Geologist to be the boots-on-the-ground technical lead driving the flagship project forward. This is a hands-on field role: you will be logging core, supervising drilling, managing data, and contributing to interpretations that feed directly into resource definition.

This role suits a geologist who is genuinely field-oriented, thrives on being close to the discovery, and is comfortable working in a lean, fast-moving junior environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day diamond drilling operations on-site, including core logging, sampling, and QAQC
• Manage geological data collection and database integrity throughout active drill programs
• Contribute to geological interpretations, cross-sections, and target refinement
• Work closely with the Exploration Manager and senior leadership to advance resource estimation processes
• Liaise with in-country teams and drilling contractors in both English and French
• Maintain accurate field records and contribute to technical reporting
• Support camp-level operational logistics as required in a lean field setting

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Geology or related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of exploration experience, with a strong field focus and hands-on drilling supervision
• West Africa experience preferred; Birimian gold terrane experience is a strong advantage
• Bilingual English/French — must be able to communicate effectively with francophone teams in the field
• Expat mindset: comfortable with remote field conditions, lean teams, and extended rotations
• Detail-oriented with strong data management and logging discipline
• Able to contribute to geological interpretation and resource-definition workflows, not just data collection
