Project Foreman – Heavy Civil Construction

Job Bridge Global’s client is a general contractor and an industry leader in the heavy civil construction sector. They specialize in new bridge construction and rehabilitation, hydraulic lifting, concrete restoration, dam construction and several other services.

Under the direction of the District Superintendent, the Foreperson will be heavily involved in the day-to-day operation and management of projects. The Foreman will manage crews/equipment, ensuring safety and quality of work.

Position Responsibilities

· Schedule and manage the day-to-day site actives including workforce, materials, equipment, and subcontractors

· Responsible and accountable for ensuring the work performed is in accordance with project requirements, quality standards, schedule and budget

· Responsible and accountable for site reporting requirements including but not limited to; payroll, safety documentation, equipment tracking, look-a-head schedules, etc.

· Assist with coordination and delivery to the job site of all materials and equipment in a timely manner and as required by the project schedule

· Assist with monitoring of project costs and budget

· Manage/Coordinate safety requirements to ensure project work is executed with the highest quality standards and all Health, Safety & Environmental requirements are met.

Skills and Qualifications

5 years prior construction experience as Heavy Civil Foreman

Supervisory or Team Lead experience

Ability to read and interpret drawings and specification.

Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to command respect (particularly with Health & Safety requirements and regulations)

Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

Solid ability to form strong working relationships with colleagues and key stakeholders at all levels

Excellent organization skills and attention to detail

Reliable and takes ownership of their work

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet

Must be willing to travel to and/or work from various job sites

Must be willing to work overnight shifts and weekends if/ when required due to project deadlines and demands

Must have a full valid driving license
