Project Fitout Lead (12‑Month Contract) – Padstow NSW | Hybrid

Be part of a major national transformation. O’Brien® is upgrading and expanding our Distribution Centre and Service Centre network across Australia — and we’re looking for a Project Fitout Lead who wants to play a hands‑on role in shaping the future of our sites.

Based at our Padstow, NSW Head Office (with hybrid flexibility), you’ll work closely with our Distribution Centres and Service Centres to deliver new locations, refurbishments, and national footprint projects that directly impact customer experience.

Make a Real Impact

In this 12‑month contract, you’ll support projects from feasibility and site assessment through to opening day. You’ll be the key link between internal teams, contractors, landlords, and stakeholders — ensuring every project is delivered safely, efficiently, and to O’Brien® standards.

You’ll also have the opportunity to travel interstate to support on‑site delivery and see your work come to life.

What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate new site openings, refurbishments, relocations, and national rollout projects
  • Support feasibility studies, site assessments, documentation, and project planning
  • Work closely with DCs and Service Centres to understand operational requirements
  • Partner with contractors, landlords, and internal teams to keep projects on track
  • Identify and support process improvements and smarter ways of working
  • Ensure safety, compliance, and quality remain top priorities
  • Travel interstate as required to support project delivery

What You’ll Bring

You’re organised, proactive, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment. You enjoy variety, communicate clearly, and build strong relationships.

  • Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills
  • Confident communicator who builds trust quickly
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • High attention to detail
  • HSC (or equivalent) + valid driver’s licence
  • Comfortable with occasional interstate travel
  • Bonus: experience in property, fitout, or project coordination, or a Cert/Diploma in Business or Frontline Management
