About the Role
Reporting to the CFO – APAC, this role partners with the Project Director and Project Managers, acting as the primary financial authority on the project, providing insightful analysis and trusted financial leadership.
As Project Financial Controller, you will be accountable for the financial control, forecasting, cashflow and commercial outcomes of the project. You will play a hands-on role in driving financially informed decisions, managing risk and opportunity, and ensuring accurate, decision‑ready reporting.
This is a business‑partnering role that requires strong technical finance capability combined with the confidence to influence senior project stakeholders.
Other Key Responsibilities
Lead project financial control, governance, and performance monitoring
Prepare, review and challenge monthly forecasts, cost-to-complete and cashflow
Support and challenge monthly valuations, claims and cashflow forecasts
Maintain and continuously improve monthly and weekly cashflow forecasts
Support monthly project review presentations and executive reporting
Assist with future tendering, pricing, variations and commercial evaluations
About You
You are a confident and commercially minded finance professional who thrives in complex project environments. You bring both rigor and pragmatism to financial decision-making and can constructively challenge assumptions.
You will ideally have:
5+ years’ experience in a project/commercial finance role
Experience supporting large, complex infrastructure or engineering projects
Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline
Professional certification (CA, CPA or equivalent)
Strong expertise in project forecasting, cost control, cashflow and financial risk
Ability to interpret and communicate complex financial information to non‑financial stakeholders
Strong executive-level communication, influence and business partnering skills
A collaborative, proactive and solutions-focused approach
Experience with project management systems (Workbench desirable)
Advanced MS Excel skills
