Project Finance – Associate Director / Director AA (Asia Australia)

We empower our people to stay resilient and relevant in a constantly changing world. We’re looking for people who are always searching for creative ways to grow and learn. People who want to make a real impact, now and in the future. Does that sound like you? Then it seems like you’d make a great addition to our vibrant international team.

At Siemens Financial Services (SFS), a subsidiary of Siemens AG, you will be involved in providing structured debt financing for Asia-Australia through Siemens Bank GmbH. As part of a strong and established team of project and structured finance risk managers, you will support the Bank’s continued growth with a focus on energy and infrastructure transactions. In this context you will underwrite and manage your own projects.

You'll make a difference by:

  • Underwrite and execute project finance transactions across the energy, infrastructure, and digital infrastructure sectors in Asia-Australia by conducting comprehensive risk assessments and providing structuring input to the Origination team.
  • Assess and structure new opportunities with a focus on identifying key risks, optimizing financing structures, and ensuring an appropriate balance between risk and return.
  • Prepare and present credit applications by performing due diligence on transaction materials, reviewing financial models, evaluating commercial and financing documentation, and presenting recommendations to Siemens Bank and SFS management and approval committees.
  • Lead transaction execution and stakeholder management by coordinating internal teams including Legal, Compliance, Tax, Rating, Asset Management, and Operations,
  • Manage and monitor an existing portfolio of project finance assets by assessing waiver and amendment requests, identifying emerging risks and opportunities, monitoring transaction performance, and supporting remedial or optimization initiatives where required. You will also be the first point of contact representing Siemens Bank and SFS towards lenders, advisors, and other external counterparties.
  • Develop and maintain effective risk management practices by ensuring compliance with internal policies and contributing to the continuous enhancement of credit, underwriting, and portfolio management standards.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of market developments in the energy, infrastructure, and digital infrastructure sectors, including financing trends, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies relevant to the Asia-Australia region.

You'll win us over by:

  • At least 7-10 years of relevant experience in project finance, structured finance, infrastructure finance, or credit risk, with significant exposure to energy and infrastructure transactions.
  • Strong credit and risk assessment capabilities, including the ability to independently evaluate complex financing structures and identify key transaction risks.
  • Advanced financial modelling skills, including the ability to review, challenge, and sensitize detailed project finance models.
  • Experience reviewing and negotiating financing documentation, including loan agreements, security documents, and project contracts.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to interact effectively with advisors, lenders, sponsors and senior management.
  • A university degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline, ideally supplemented by a professional or postgraduate qualification.
  • A proactive and ownership-driven mindset, with the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality outcomes under pressure.
  • Strong collaboration skills and intercultural awareness, with the ability to build trusted relationships across functions, countries, and seniority levels.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
