PROJECT EXECUTION LEAD - AUTOMATION

Your expertise in control and execution strategy enables you to build relationships with customers and earn their trust. Your experience enables you to work on simple or complex projects, plant modernizations or new plants. You enjoy participating in the process of design, configuration, installation, pre-operational verification, start-up using Emerson's Distributed Control System (DCS) technologies. Projects can be one person or a complete automation team.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

• Analyzes and understands project deliverables.
• In conjunction with the Operations Manager, ensures that the scope of supply includes all avenues for customers.
• Acts as an expert in consultation with customers and engineering team.
• Identifies and resolves critical issues to minimize project risks.
• Executes or coordinates:
  1. Configuration of control strategies, sequences, batch processes and safety systems
  2. Re-engineering of legacy systems transferred to DeltaV
  3. Production of technical drawings or other documentation required for the project (DCS network architecture, cabinet drawings, etc.).
  4. FEED
• Carries out all projects in full compliance with industrial health and safety regulations.
• Attaches great importance to professional development by participating in training and obtaining new certifications.
• Works with the Project Manager to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS TO BE SUCCESSFUL

• Engineering degree in chemical, electrical, industrial or automation engineering.
• 7-10 years of relevant experience in industrial environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French.
• English communication skills considered an asset.
• Experience in process control, instrumentation, and power systems
• Experience with DCS systems and asset management systems (instruments/valves)
• Experience configuring DCS and/or PLC systems
• Experience of FAT, SAT, operational verification, automation project start-up
• Ability to lead a FEED
• Delta V and AMS technologies will be used extensively ( Emerson DeltaV DCS, Emerson Ovation DCS, Emerson PACSystems PLC's and HMI )
• Computer and networking skills in both hardware and software

WORK LOCATION:Kirkland, Quebec – travelling required (20%-30%). Hybrid, possibility of occasional telework #LI-Remote #LI-Hybrid #LI-Onsite
