A DAY IN THE LIFE …
Lead the planning, design review, and execution of civil engineering projects, including buildings, utilities, infrastructure, foundations, and structural works.
Prepare and review engineering calculations, technical specifications, drawings, scope documents, and construction methodologies.
Manage project timelines, budgets, resources, and contractor performance to ensure successful delivery.
Provide technical oversight during site development, construction, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
Ensure compliance with local regulations, engineering codes, safety standards, environmental requirements, and company policies.
Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to align project objectives and resolve technical issues.
Conduct site inspections, progress reviews, risk assessments, and quality checks to ensure work is completed to required standards.
Support tendering, contractor evaluation, bid review, and contract administration activities.
Identify opportunities for value engineering, cost optimization, constructability improvement, and process efficiency.
Prepare project reports, progress updates, documentation, and handover packages for stakeholders and management.
Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on technical problem-solving, project execution, and engineering best practices.
ARE YOU A FIT?
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in civil engineering design, construction, project execution, or infrastructure development.
Strong knowledge of structural and civil engineering principles, construction practices, and applicable industry standards.
Experience in managing contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary project teams.
Proficiency in engineering and project management tools such as AutoCAD, STAAD, ETABS, SAP2000, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent software as applicable.
Familiarity with cost estimation, scheduling, contract management, and construction quality control.
Professional Engineer license or equivalent certification is preferred, where applicable.
Strong understanding of workplace safety, construction risk management, and environmental compliance.
