About the Opportunity
Amentum is the Nuclear Design and Engineering partner for Sellafield Ltd under the PPP (Programme and Project Partners). PPP is an exciting model to work in with Four world class organisations who have come together as one team, to create a clean and safe environment for future generations.
The programme arrangement is set to deliver ~£7bn worth of major projects creating a lasting legacy through the long-term partnerships.
The Role
We are currently seeking a Project Engineering Manager to join the PPP Team. As a Project Engineering Manager your responsibilities could include:
Supporting pipeline projects transition in to PPP projects.
Leading other engineering and associated digital initiatives for embedding on to projects, with the support of the affiliated Services teams
Working alongside Capability Leads/ Subject Mater Experts and closely with the projects to provide support and direction in embedding and execution of owned initiatives
Selecting and managing risk/reward choices with a focus on delivering maximum benefit to the project for acceptable costs and minimised, clearly managed risks
Identify the need for and actively provide, support and guidance to fellow services team members on owned initiatives, at all levels
Ensuring the accuracy, extent and timing of own work plus complying with the PPP assurance procedures
Lead and/or support via attendance of internal and external (greater client, NDA, ONR) meetings for project execution
Instigation of Learning from Experience/continuous improvement activities
As a Project Engineering Manager you will already have:
Experience of benefits realisation on projects and the challenges that need to be overcome
Engineering Management experience on major projects (multiple sectors beneficial) is an advantage
Experience in and appreciation of digital project execution tools and data flows preferrable
Experience in collaborative business relationships
