Job Description

Wood is looking for young and motivated engineering students eager to gain practical experience in the Project Engineer Internship. This position will be based in our Madrid Office.

Students will get the opportunity to enter in the upstream, midstream and downstream oil and gas industry as we look to develop your background in conceptual engineering studies, pre-FEED, FEED, EPC and PMC projects.

As a Project Engineer Intern, you will collaborate with our experienced engineering team on various projects. Your responsibilities will include assisting with engineering activities, contributing to project designs, and participating in foundation-related tasks within the Project Engineering Department.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Support Engineering Manager and Project Engineers.
  • Participate in engineering and design activities during the development of the project.
  • Support on the preparation of project engineering deliverables.
  • Follow and control project development and document issuance
  • Final year of degree or master's degree in Industrial, Chemical Engineering or similar Degree
  • Academic situation that allows signing an agreement with a university
  • Availability in the morning (daily dedication depending on the academic situation)
  • Teamwork capabilities, flexibility, problem solving attitude, orientation to results, relational skills, specific technical knowledge
  • Ready to work in an international environment and to learn international engineering working practices
  • Spanish language at native level
  • Excellent command of English
  • Valid European Work Permit
