Pratt and Whitney Hot Section Engineering (HSE) team is looking for a highly motivated individual that is currently pursuing a degree in engineering to join its team as a summer intern to support our Hot Section Engineering (HSE) Geared Turbo Fan (GTF) team.

What You Will Do

  • Assist Integrated Product Team (IPT) by supporting field investigations, development hardware management, validation testing, and production delivery.
  • Participate in project management of engineering tasks by creating schedules and tracking progress.
  • Develop review packages in support of engineering changes.
  • Assist in creation of risk management plans.
  • Participate within a team of individuals to meet requirements and achieve program goals

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship session.
  • Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship session.
  • Experience using project management tools such as MS project, Smartsheets, Jira, Confluence or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA

Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.


Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience utilizing communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective working relationships
  • Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.

Onsite Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
