Job Opportunity: Project Engineer - Wind Power

Location: Northern Cape South Africa

Join a leading Chinese company in the wind power industry as a Project Engineer and contribute to a dynamic project in South Africa. This role offers the chance to apply your expertise in installation, commissioning, and maintenance of wind power systems, while working in a collaborative and internationally focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee or participate in the installation and commissioning of wind turbine generator (WTG) equipment, including wind turbines, towers, and blades, along with preliminary system testing.
• Develop and implement regular maintenance plans, conduct routine checks, identify and resolve equipment issues to ensure efficient operations.
• Manage and maintain project-related documentation, such as technical specifications, drawings, and progress reports.
• Ensure all construction activities meet quality standards and company requirements, including participation in inspections, audits, and resolving quality issues.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders, addressing challenges promptly.

Requirements

• Proficiency in mechanical and electrical installation and commissioning processes for wind turbines or energy storage systems.
• Ability to guide and supervise installation teams, ensuring compliance with technical and quality standards.
• Clear understanding of quality control requirements for wind turbine (or energy storage) installation and commissioning.
• Minimum of 2 years experience working on wind power (or energy storage) projects, with preference for those experienced in Envision turbines or with overseas project experience.
• Fluency in English or Chinese is mandatory.
