Grow your technical scope as a Project Engineer across our Complex Civils & Structures based in Auckland, where you will work on some of the region’s most exciting infrastructure projects.
This is a great role for an experienced engineer who enjoys variety, technical challenge and seeing work move from plan to delivery. You’ll work across reinforced concrete and heavy civil infrastructure projects, helping bridge the gap between design, planning and construction.
This diverse portfolio, will include work in the following areas:
Bridges, retaining walls, piling and complex structural works
Underpasses and transport structures
Major infrastructure projects such as Papakura to Drury, Penlink and upcoming water infrastructure projects
Wastewater treatment plants, pump stations and complex pipelines
Key role responsibilities
Manage the teams and sub-contractors within your area and coordinate with other teams to ensure optimisation of resources and efficiency
Plan the execution of the works and develop construction methodology for all elements of the works
Provide a monthly forecast of cost to complete to the commercial manager, and an estimate of the work completed in terms of percentages complete to the planner
Provide technical advice and resolve on-site issues as they arise
Maintain a safe and tidy site, assisting in the development of management systems and ensuring compliance within your team
Monitor expenses, process invoices, and contribute to financial reporting.
Undertake regular inspections to ensure that safety, environmental, and quality standards are achieved across the projects

We’re looking for someone with:
A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering at NZQF Level 7+
Have 5 years’ experience with Structures / Heavy Civil experience
Have a portfolio that includes, bridges or/and treatment plants and pipelines
Hold proven experience in programming and managing budgets
Excellent leadership qualities
Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills
