Join our growing Rail & Transit team and contribute to some of Canada's most transformative transportation programs. As a Project Engineer/ Project Manager – Rail & Transit, you will play a key role in the planning, design coordination, design review, and delivery of major transit infrastructure projects, including subway, LRT, commuter rail, and integrated transportation systems.

Working within multidisciplinary teams, you will support project delivery by providing technical input to design, coordinating technical activities, facilitating design reviews, managing interfaces, and ensuring effective collaboration among project stakeholders. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to complex infrastructure projects that improve mobility and connectivity across communities while advancing your career within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Your Impact

  • Support the successful delivery of rail and transit infrastructure projects through effective multidisciplinary coordination and project execution.

  • Coordinate engineering design reviews and technical submissions, ensuring timely consolidation, tracking, and resolution of comments.

  • Facilitate collaboration among civil, structural, architectural, systems, utilities, and construction disciplines to support integrated project delivery.

  • Assist in the development of project scopes, schedules, cost estimates, work plans, and proposal submissions.

  • Support interface management activities between clients, contractors, transit agencies, and multidisciplinary project teams.

  • Track project actions, decisions, risks, approvals, and deliverables to support effective project controls and reporting.

  • Participate in project meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagements, ensuring follow-up actions are documented and completed.

  • Support quality management processes by conducting design reviews, coordination checks, and technical verifications.

  • Assist with technical documentation, presentations, reports, and project communications for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance project delivery, coordination efficiency, and engineering quality.

The Skills That Set You Apart

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Ontario.

  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience supporting civil engineering design related to transportation infrastructure, rail, transit, municipal, or multidisciplinary engineering projects.

  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams on complex infrastructure projects.

  • Experience supporting design review processes, technical submissions, and stakeholder coordination.

  • PMP certification or equivalent project management training is considered an asset.

  • Experience reviewing designs and drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

  • Experience working with transit agencies such as Metrolinx, TTC, GO Transit, VIA Rail, or other transportation authorities.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $104,100 - $138,000
MB & ON: $95,000 - $130,800
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $94,100 - $124,900
