Our award-winning client is seeking a Capital Project Engineer / Mechanical to join their team.As a Capital Project Engineer, Mechanical, you will play a crucial role in driving process improvement and optimizing operations through the successful implementation of capital projects. You will leverage your technical expertise and project management skills to deliver innovative solutions and enhance the facility's overall performance.

Responsibilities:

• Project Management:Lead and manage capital projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
• Technical Support:Provide technical support to operations teams for troubleshooting equipment and processes.
• Identify and implement process improvements.
• Actively participate in safety teams and initiatives.
• Project Planning:Define project scope, develop technical studies, and prepare project plans.
• Conduct preliminary studies and feasibility assessments.
• Manage project documentation and drawings.
• Capex Portfolio Management:Coordinate with operations to identify short-term and long-term project needs.
• Prioritize projects based on criticality and benefit analysis.
• Investigate new technologies and best practices to incorporate into project plans.
• Align capital projects with annual PEX plans.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5-8 years of hands-on experience in industrial projects.

Skills:

• Strong project management skills.
• Proficiency in project planning and execution.
• Knowledge of industrial safety standards and construction methods.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• PMP certification.
• Experience in process optimization or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Knowledge of specific industry standards and regulations.
• Experience with mechanical equipment design and maintenance.
