The plant uses advanced mechanical and process technology to treat and distribute seawater. Teams focus on safe delivery, innovation, and strong collaboration. The work supports essential community services and creates long-term environmental value.
About the Opportunity
The Project Engineer, Mechanical - Commissioning leads the safe start-up and testing of mechanical systems. The role verifies installation quality, completes mechanical checks, and confirms system performance. It coordinates with construction, operations, and vendors to reach mechanical completion and resolve issues. It prepares reports, supports handover, and ensures all work meets safety and quality standards.
What are the key accountabilities for the position?
- Develop commissioning plans and procedures
- Coordinate readiness with construction, operations, vendors
- Complete mechanical checks and clear punch items
- Perform functional and performance tests
- Monitor flow, pressure, vibration, alignment
- Resolve mechanical issues with suppliers
- Support training and handover to operations
Required Skills and Competencies
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Commissioning experience in heavy industry
- Strong mechanical systems knowledge
